Go-Along Glassware

  1. I remember when this sort of pattern was popular. I'm sure you know of the pottery that is partially brown and has a drawing of sleeping Mexican boy at the bottom of the bowl. My grandmother would tell us, "Eat until you see the little Mexican boy." It was a bit of trickery used to get my little brother to eat. I keep looking for those bowls and I rarely see them. They vary in price considerably. Fun memory. Thanks!

    The whole "south of the border" theme was all the rage back in the late 30s - early 40s, kind of like the whole country chicken thing was in the 80s!
